Investing.com – Italy equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Chemicals, Financials and Oil & Gas sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 declined 0.05%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Ferrari NV (MI:RACE), which rose 3.05% or 2.90 points to trade at 98.05 at the close. STMicroelectronics (MI:STM) added 2.70% or 0.380 points to end at 14.450 and CNH Industrial NV (MI:CNHI) was up 1.38% or 0.130 points to 9.580 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Saipem SpA (MI:SPMI), which lost 1.86% or 0.0600 points to trade at 3.1600 in late trade. Azimut Holding (MI:AZMT) declined 1.41% or 0.26 points to end at 18.22 and Banca Popolare dell’Emilia Romagna (MI:EMII) shed 1.33% or 0.064 points to 4.760.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 179 to 161 and 25 ended unchanged on the Milan Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was up 0.80% or 0.38 to $47.91 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 0.70% or 0.36 to hit $52.02 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.34% or 4.38 to trade at $1292.32 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.43% to 1.1765, while EUR/GBP rose 0.09% to 0.9167.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.40% at 93.37.
