Investing.com – Italy equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Chemicals, Utilities and Healthcare sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 added 1.18%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Fiat Chrysler Automobiles NV (MI:FCHA), which rose 6.35% or 1.070 points to trade at 17.920 at the close. Exor NV (MI:EXOR) added 3.25% or 1.80 points to end at 57.10 and Freni Brembo SpA (MI:BRBI) was up 2.57% or 0.33 points to 13.17 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Banco Bpm (MI:BAMI), which lost 0.90% or 0.024 points to trade at 2.640 in late trade. Yoox Net-A-Porter Group SpA (MI:YNAP) declined 0.66% or 0.20 points to end at 30.26 and Moncler SpA (MI:MONC) shed 0.61% or 0.16 points to 25.94.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 251 to 112 and 25 ended unchanged on the Milan Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for February delivery was down 1.05% or 0.65 to $61.36 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in March fell 0.72% or 0.49 to hit $67.58 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.06% or 0.80 to trade at $1322.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.22% to 1.2040, while EUR/GBP fell 0.35% to 0.8876.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.11% at 91.70.
