Investing.com – Italy equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Telecoms and Utilities sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 added 1.01%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Tenaris (MI:TENR), which rose 3.35% or 0.49 points to trade at 15.12 at the close. Saipem SpA (MI:SPMI) added 3.33% or 0.1680 points to end at 5.2140 and ENI (MI:ENI) was up 2.63% or 0.42 points to 16.26 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Bper Banca SpA (MI:EMII), which lost 2.00% or 0.072 points to trade at 3.537 in late trade. Atlantia (MI:ATL) declined 1.36% or 0.24 points to end at 17.40 and Prysmian (MI:PRY) shed 1.09% or 0.20 points to 18.59.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 190 to 175 and 22 ended unchanged on the Milan Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was up 0.65% or 0.48 to $74.77 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 0.91% or 0.76 to hit $84.67 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.24% or 2.90 to trade at $1191.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.06% to 1.1485, while EUR/GBP fell 0.42% to 0.8742.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.01% at 95.43.
