Investing.com – Italy equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Technology, Travel & Leisure and Financials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 gained 0.92%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Fiat Chrysler Automobiles NV (MI:FCHA), which rose 4.08% or 0.578 points to trade at 14.728 at the close. Banca Generali (MI:BGN) added 3.65% or 0.67 points to end at 19.01 and Moncler SpA (MI:MONC) was up 3.65% or 1.10 points to 31.20 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Tenaris (MI:TENR), which lost 3.04% or 0.39 points to trade at 12.45 in late trade. Saipem SpA (MI:SPMI) declined 3.02% or 0.1340 points to end at 4.3030 and ENI (MI:ENI) shed 2.20% or 0.34 points to 15.15.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 206 to 157 and 20 ended unchanged on the Milan Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for December delivery was down 4.29% or 2.57 to $57.36 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 4.12% or 2.89 to hit $67.23 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.10% or 1.20 to trade at $1202.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.49% to 1.1274, while EUR/GBP fell 0.68% to 0.8671.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.32% at 97.07.
