Investing.com – Italy equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Utilities, Industrials and Healthcare sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 added 0.87%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Recordati (MI:RECI), which rose 3.65% or 1.08 points to trade at 30.66 at the close. Azimut Holding (MI:AZMT) added 2.90% or 0.38 points to end at 13.32 and Leonardo SpA (MI:LDOF) was up 2.79% or 0.295 points to 10.860 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Bper Banca SpA (MI:EMII), which lost 1.30% or 0.049 points to trade at 3.715 in late trade. Luxottica Group SpA (MI:LUX) declined 0.91% or 0.54 points to end at 58.52 and Moncler SpA (MI:MONC) shed 0.80% or 0.31 points to 38.31.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 208 to 156 and 26 ended unchanged on the Milan Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was up 0.35% or 0.26 to $75.49 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 0.63% or 0.53 to hit $85.33 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.34% or 4.10 to trade at $1202.90 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.23% to 1.1521, while EUR/GBP fell 0.33% to 0.8868.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.24% at 95.36.
