Investing.com – Italy equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Financials and Utilities sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 rose 0.63%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were ENI (MI:ENI), which rose 2.00% or 0.28 points to trade at 14.10 at the close. Intesa Sanpaolo (MI:ISP) added 1.95% or 0.059 points to end at 3.077 and Tenaris (MI:TENR) was up 1.58% or 0.22 points to 14.49 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Atlantia (MI:ATL), which lost 2.54% or 0.66 points to trade at 25.34 in late trade. CNH Industrial NV (MI:CNHI) declined 1.58% or 0.175 points to end at 10.930 and Italgas SpA (MI:IG) shed 0.61% or 0.029 points to 4.701.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 200 to 151 and 25 ended unchanged on the Milan Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for April delivery was up 1.83% or 1.12 to $62.31 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in May rose 1.52% or 0.99 to hit $66.11 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.28% or 3.70 to trade at $1314.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.11% to 1.2291, while EUR/GBP fell 0.10% to 0.8820.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.06% at 90.19.
