Investing.com – Italy equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Utilities, Financials and Industrials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 gained 0.19%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Moncler SpA (MI:MONC), which rose 3.14% or 0.80 points to trade at 26.30 at the close. Leonardo SpA (MI:LDOF) added 1.81% or 0.200 points to end at 11.270 and A2A (MI:A2) was up 1.35% or 0.021 points to 1.577 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Bper Banca SpA (MI:EMII), which lost 1.95% or 0.088 points to trade at 4.422 in late trade. Telecom Italia (MI:TLIT) declined 1.63% or 0.0120 points to end at 0.7245 and Pirelli & C SPA (MI:PIRC) shed 1.39% or 0.11 points to 7.82.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 200 to 141 and 44 ended unchanged on the Milan Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for February delivery was up 0.42% or 0.27 to $64.00 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 0.42% or 0.29 to hit $69.44 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.29% or 3.90 to trade at $1333.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.23% to 1.2233, while EUR/GBP fell 0.48% to 0.8845.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.16% at 90.37.
