Investing.com – Israel equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Real Estate and Technology sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 25 declined 0.41%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 25 were Bezeq (TA:BEZQ), which rose 2.12% or 14.3 points to trade at 688.3 at the close. Leumi (TA:LUMI) added 1.90% or 31 points to end at 1662 and Israel Corp (TA:ILCO) was up 0.74% or 1000 points to 136000 in late trade.
Biggest losers included OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK), which lost 3.26% or 194 points to trade at 5760 in late trade. Avner L (TA:AVNRp) declined 2.68% or 8.8 points to end at 320.0 and Frutarom (TA:FRUT) shed 2.64% or 430 points to 15850.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 206 to 123 and 124 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was up 0.13% or 0.08 to $61.09 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 0.16% or 0.10 to hit $64.34 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 0.39% or 4.60 to trade at $1172.00 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.12% to 3.7533, while EUR/ILS rose 0.03% to 4.1982.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.00% at 95.61.
