Investing.com – Israel equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Biomed, Real Estate and Technology sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 25 declined 0.40%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 25 were ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TA:ICL), which rose 1.91% or 46 points to trade at 2455 at the close. Elbit Systems (TA:ESLT) added 1.59% or 510 points to end at 32680 and Avner L (TA:AVNRp) was up 1.57% or 4.5 points to 291.1 in late trade.
Biggest losers included OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK), which lost 4.74% or 291 points to trade at 5854 in late trade. Perrigo (TA:PRGO) declined 2.89% or 2090 points to end at 70300 and Ormat Technologies (TA:ORA) shed 1.29% or 190 points to 14510.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 175 to 148 and 124 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was down 1.57% or 0.71 to $44.44 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 0.62% or 0.30 to hit $49.28 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.29% or 3.10 to trade at $1088.70 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.06% to 3.8129, while EUR/ILS rose 0.01% to 4.1613.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.04% at 98.02.
