Investing.com – Israel equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Communication, Insurance and Real Estate sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 25 declined 0.01% to hit a new 1-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 25 were Paz Oil (TA:PZOL), which rose 2.35% or 1370 points to trade at 59660 at the close. Isramco L (TA:ISRAp) added 2.19% or 1.7 points to end at 79.3 and Mizrahi Tefahot (TA:MZTF) was up 1.52% or 69 points to 4604 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Osem (TA:OSEM), which lost 2.20% or 174 points to trade at 7726 in late trade. Bezeq (TA:BEZQ) declined 2.13% or 13.9 points to end at 640.1 and Perrigo (TA:PRGO) shed 1.94% or 1390 points to 70240.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 200 to 130 and 122 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was down 1.79% or 1.07 to $58.56 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 1.70% or 1.07 to hit $62.19 a barrel, while the August Gold contract rose 0.25% or 2.90 to trade at $1176.10 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.37% to 3.7786, while EUR/ILS fell 0.59% to 4.2128.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.07% at 95.53.
