Investing.com – Israel equities were higher at the close on Sunday, as gains in the Biomed, Technology and Insurance sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 added 0.27% to hit a new 3-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 35 were Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TA:TEVA), which rose 2.22% or 250 points to trade at 11490 at the close. Airport City Ltd (TA:ARPT) added 1.88% or 92 points to end at 4980 and Harel (TA:HARL) was up 1.84% or 38 points to 2103 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Bezeq Israeli Telecommunication Corp Ltd (TA:BEZQ), which lost 3.93% or 23.7 points to trade at 579.0 in late trade. Isramco Negev 2 LP (TA:ISRAp) declined 1.68% or 0.9 points to end at 52.6 and Poalim (TA:POLI) shed 1.33% or 32 points to 2383.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 246 to 140 and 113 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was up 0.89% or 0.38 to $43.12 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to hit $45.75 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.71% or 8.91 to trade at $1258.31 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.26% to 3.5400, while EUR/ILS rose 0.10% to 3.9622.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.29% at 96.98.
