The biggest gainers of the session on the Athens General Composite were J. & P. Avax (AT:AVAr), which rose 11.71% or 0.059 points to trade at 0.563 at the close. Profile Syst (AT:PRFr) added 8.22% or 0.060 points to end at 0.790 and Attica Bank SA (AT:BOAr) was up 5.31% or 0.006 points to 0.119 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Iktinos Hellas (AT:IKTr), which lost 7.35% or 0.1000 points to trade at 1.2600 in late trade. Flexopack SA (AT:FLXr) declined 3.42% or 0.1600 points to end at 4.6500 and Selonda Aquaculture SA (AT:SELr) shed 1.77% or 0.0040 points to 0.2220.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 71 to 42 and 7 ended unchanged on the Athens Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for August delivery was down 0.12% or 1.45 to $1244.35 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in August rose 0.91% or 0.41 to hit $45.34 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract rose 0.88% or 0.42 to trade at $48.05 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.24% to 1.1414, while EUR/GBP fell 0.12% to 0.8787.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.16% at 95.47.
