Investing.com – Greece equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Financials and Utilities sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite added 0.49%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Papoutsanis (AT:PSALr), which rose 5.14% or 0.015 points to trade at 0.307 at the close. Motor Oil Hellas Corinth Refineries SA (AT:MORr) added 3.54% or 0.68 points to end at 19.88 and Aegean Airlines (AT:AGNr) was up 2.55% or 0.20 points to 8.05 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Attica Bank SA (AT:BOAr), which lost 15.22% or 0.014 points to trade at 0.078 in late trade. Autohellas (AT:AUTr) declined 4.30% or 0.99 points to end at 22.01 and Select Textile (AT:EPIr) shed 4.01% or 0.011 points to 0.263.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 57 to 49 and 8 ended unchanged on the Athens Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.85% or 11.48 to $1339.72 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 0.51% or 0.24 to hit $47.72 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract fell 0.22% or 0.12 to trade at $53.66 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.43% to 1.1984, while EUR/GBP fell 0.32% to 0.9092.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.44% at 91.71.
