Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Technology, Basic Materials and Consumer Services sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 declined 1.53%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Konecranes Oyj (HEL:KCR1V), which rose 15.74% or 4.41 points to trade at 32.43 at the close. Cargotec Oyj (HEL:CGCBV) added 0.39% or 0.13 points to end at 33.23 and Elisa Oyj (HEL:ELI1V) was up 0.22% or 0.07 points to 31.24 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Outokumpu Oyj (HEL:OUT1V), which lost 5.44% or 0.2500 points to trade at 4.3420 in late trade. KONE Oyj (HEL:KNEBV) declined 3.55% or 1.40 points to end at 38.06 and Nokia Oyj (HEL:NOKIA) shed 3.43% or 0.215 points to 6.045.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 122 to 50 and 2 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for October delivery was down 2.86% or 1.46 to $49.56 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 3.91% or 1.76 to hit $43.20 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.26% or 2.90 to trade at $1107.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.06% to 1.1026, while EUR/GBP rose 0.24% to 0.7085.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.16% at 97.38.
