Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Basic Materials, Technology and Consumer Services sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 fell 0.26% to hit a new all time high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Amer Sports Corporation (HE:AMEAS), which rose 3.54% or 0.78 points to trade at 22.79 at the close. Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV) added 1.23% or 0.70 points to end at 57.60 and YIT Oyj (HE:YTY1V) was up 0.59% or 0.04 points to 7.62 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which lost 4.69% or 0.3450 points to trade at 7.0100 in late trade. Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) declined 3.74% or 0.245 points to end at 6.300 and Metso Oyj (HE:METSO) shed 1.49% or 0.47 points to 31.07.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 70 to 65 and 18 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for August delivery was down 3.74% or 1.82 to $46.90 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in July fell 3.79% or 1.76 to hit $44.70 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.75% or 9.53 to trade at $1278.13 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.58% to 1.1275, while EUR/GBP rose 0.24% to 0.8809.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.54% at 96.45.
