Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Technology, Basic Materials and Financials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 declined 0.11%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Elisa Oyj (HE:ELI1V), which rose 2.46% or 0.81 points to trade at 33.68 at the close. YIT Oyj (HE:YTY1V) added 1.92% or 0.10 points to end at 5.57 and KONE Oyj (HE:KNEBV) was up 1.23% or 0.51 points to 42.13 in late trade.
Biggest losers included UPM-Kymmene Oyj (HE:UPM1V), which lost 1.55% or 0.24 points to trade at 15.20 in late trade. Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA) declined 1.36% or 0.075 points to end at 5.450 and Amer Sports Corporation (HE:AMEAS) shed 1.33% or 0.35 points to 25.87.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 86 to 83 and 23 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for June delivery was down 2.35% or 1.03 to $42.81 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in May fell 2.87% or 1.19 to hit $40.31 a barrel, while the June Gold contract rose 0.80% or 9.80 to trade at $1236.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.31% to 1.1300, while EUR/GBP fell 0.21% to 0.7942.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.37% at 94.59.
