Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Consumer Services and Basic Materials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 lost 0.09%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Nokia Oyj (HEL:NOKIA), which rose 1.34% or 0.080 points to trade at 6.030 at the close. Sampo Oyj A (HEL:SAMAS) added 0.67% or 0.31 points to end at 46.51 and Valmt (HEL:VALMT) was up 0.39% or 0.04 points to 10.31 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Outotec Oyj (HEL:OTE1V), which lost 1.76% or 0.100 points to trade at 5.595 in late trade. Neste Oil Oyj (HEL:NESTE) declined 1.67% or 0.42 points to end at 24.72 and Metso Oyj (HEL:MEO1V) shed 1.30% or 0.32 points to 24.27.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 99 to 71 and 6 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for October delivery was down 0.28% or 0.14 to $48.60 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 0.73% or 0.31 to hit $42.72 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.27% or 3.00 to trade at $1115.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.42% to 1.1031, while EUR/GBP fell 0.86% to 0.7047.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.18% at 97.01.
