Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Utilities, Telecoms and Oil & Gas sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 declined 0.01%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Outokumpu Oyj (HEL:OUT1V), which rose 4.24% or 0.1240 points to trade at 3.0500 at the close. YIT Oyj (HEL:YTY1V) added 2.15% or 0.12 points to end at 5.70 and Orion Oyj B (HEL:ORNBV) was up 1.85% or 0.59 points to 32.52 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Elisa Oyj (HEL:ELI1V), which lost 1.85% or 0.59 points to trade at 31.33 in late trade. Outotec Oyj (HEL:OTE1V) declined 1.84% or 0.070 points to end at 3.744 and Wartsila Oyj Abp (HEL:WRT1V) shed 1.80% or 0.69 points to 37.56.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 98 to 72 and 3 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for November delivery was up 3.24% or 1.67 to $52.99 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 3.22% or 1.54 to hit $49.35 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.45% or 5.20 to trade at $1143.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.42% to 1.1285, while EUR/GBP rose 0.40% to 0.7366.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.29% at 95.38.
