Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Basic Materials and Industrials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 lost 2.90% to hit a new 52-week low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Valmt (HE:VALMT), which rose 2.27% or 0.41 points to trade at 18.48 at the close. Sampo Oyj A (HE:SAMPO) fell 0.27% or 0.11 points to end at 39.95 and Kesko Oyj (HE:KESKOB) was down 0.49% or 0.23 points to 46.71 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Wartsila Oyj Abp (HE:WRT1V), which lost 6.95% or 0.98 points to trade at 13.19 in late trade. UPM-Kymmene Oyj (HE:UPM) declined 5.41% or 1.61 points to end at 28.14 and Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) shed 5.19% or 0.255 points to 4.660.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 137 to 19 and 7 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for December delivery was down 4.60% or 3.67 to $76.16 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 4.54% or 3.14 to hit $66.03 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 1.16% or 14.20 to trade at $1235.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.16% to 1.1483, while EUR/GBP fell 0.12% to 0.8837.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.17% at 95.59.
