Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Telecoms, Oil & Gas and Utilities sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 fell 0.01%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV), which rose 1.81% or 0.80 points to trade at 44.94 at the close. UPM-Kymmene Oyj (HE:UPM) added 1.08% or 0.29 points to end at 27.19 and Sampo Oyj A (HE:SAMPO) was up 1.03% or 0.40 points to 39.33 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA), which lost 1.36% or 0.06 points to trade at 4.41 in late trade. Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV) declined 1.05% or 0.55 points to end at 51.83 and KONE Oyj (HE:KNEBV) shed 0.85% or 0.40 points to 46.50.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 96 to 78 and 15 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for March delivery was up 1.17% or 0.89 to $77.05 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in February rose 1.15% or 0.84 to hit $74.16 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.53% or 14.29 to trade at $2,686.69 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.17% to 1.03, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.31% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.07% at 109.00.
