Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Utilities, Basic Materials and Industrials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 added 1.31%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were YIT Oyj (HE:YTY1V), which rose 4.45% or 0.32 points to trade at 7.39 at the close. Konecranes ABP (HE:KCRA) added 3.57% or 1.30 points to end at 37.75 and Amer Sports Corporation (HE:AMEAS) was up 3.17% or 0.63 points to 20.53 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE), which lost 0.38% or 0.14 points to trade at 37.19 in late trade. Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:NRE1V) declined 0.27% or 0.10 points to end at 37.39 and Telia Company AB (HE:TELIA1) 0.00% or 0.000 points to 3.924.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 93 to 47 and 14 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for July delivery was up 2.13% or 1.12 to $53.63 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in June rose 2.15% or 1.06 to hit $50.41 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.04% or 0.54 to trade at $1252.26 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.76% to 1.1187, while EUR/GBP rose 0.08% to 0.8592.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.61% at 97.17.
