Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Consumer Goods, Technology and Consumer Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 added 0.30%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V), which rose 4.27% or 0.192 points to trade at 4.684 at the close. Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB) added 3.36% or 0.185 points to end at 5.685 and Tieto Oyj (HE:TIE1V) was up 2.89% or 0.68 points to 24.23 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Fortum Oyj (HE:FUM1V), which lost 0.95% or 0.13 points to trade at 13.53 in late trade. Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) declined 0.89% or 0.0650 points to end at 7.2000 and Wartsila Oyj Abp (HE:WRT1V) shed 0.56% or 0.22 points to 39.41.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 108 to 66 and 23 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for January delivery was down 0.11% or 0.05 to $46.44 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 0.15% or 0.07 to hit $45.35 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.72% or 8.75 to trade at $1208.15 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.32% to 1.0590, while EUR/GBP rose 0.41% to 0.8592.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.36% at 101.36.
