Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Technology, Consumer Services and Oil & Gas sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 gained 0.29%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Konecranes Abp (HE:KCRA), which rose 1.42% or 0.48 points to trade at 34.22 at the close. Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA) added 1.17% or 0.058 points to end at 5.010 and Wartsila Oyj Abp (HE:WRT1V) was up 1.07% or 0.55 points to 52.15 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV), which lost 1.16% or 0.58 points to trade at 49.62 in late trade. Fortum Oyj (HE:FORTUM) declined 0.68% or 0.09 points to end at 13.11 and Amer Sports Corporation (HE:AMEAS) shed 0.56% or 0.12 points to 21.37.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 84 to 51 and 17 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for June delivery was up 0.94% or 0.52 to $55.76 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in May rose 1.19% or 0.62 to hit $52.86 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.04% or 0.55 to trade at $1256.75 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.10% to 1.0602, while EUR/GBP fell 0.30% to 0.8539.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.16% at 100.92.
