Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Basic Materials and Healthcare sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 gained 1.11%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE), which rose 5.30% or 2.44 points to trade at 48.44 at the close. Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV) added 2.65% or 0.350 points to end at 13.570 and Wartsila Oyj Abp (HE:WRT1V) was up 2.50% or 1.40 points to 57.35 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV), which lost 6.64% or 3.65 points to trade at 51.35 in late trade. YIT Oyj (HE:YTY1V) declined 5.52% or 0.39 points to end at 6.58 and Amer Sports Corporation (HE:AMEAS) shed 0.87% or 0.19 points to 21.54.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 77 to 69 and 10 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for December delivery was up 1.50% or 0.89 to $60.19 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 2.01% or 1.06 to hit $53.70 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.18% or 2.28 to trade at $1271.88 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.58% to 1.1584, while EUR/GBP fell 0.24% to 0.8832.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.39% at 94.92.
