Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Telecoms and Consumer Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 rose 1.05%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Neste Oyj (HE:NESTE), which rose 3.75% or 0.72 points to trade at 19.93 at the close. Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA) added 3.67% or 0.13 points to end at 3.73 and TietoEVRY Corp (HE:TIETO) was up 2.03% or 0.37 points to 18.61 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Kojamo (HE:KOJAMO), which lost 5.94% or 0.58 points to trade at 9.18 in late trade. KONE Oyj (HE:KNEBV) declined 1.25% or 0.58 points to end at 45.92 and Mandatum Oyj (HE:MANTA) shed 0.60% or 0.03 points to 4.34.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 117 to 50 and 20 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for October delivery was up 1.94% or 1.55 to $81.31 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 1.91% or 1.47 to hit $78.45 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.67% or 16.55 to trade at $2,496.25 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.25% to 1.10, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.49% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.34% at 102.73.
