Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Industrials, Oil & Gas and Basic Materials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 rose 0.30%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Wartsila Oyj Abp (HE:WRT1V), which rose 3.43% or 1.90 points to trade at 57.30 at the close. Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) added 2.16% or 0.150 points to end at 7.090 and Metso Oyj (HE:METSO) was up 1.93% or 0.60 points to 31.68 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which lost 1.98% or 0.1650 points to trade at 8.1500 in late trade. Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:NRE1V) declined 1.03% or 0.40 points to end at 38.40 and Telia Company AB (HE:TELIA1) shed 0.81% or 0.032 points to 3.928.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 74 to 65 and 17 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for January delivery was up 1.72% or 1.04 to $61.66 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 1.39% or 0.76 to hit $55.30 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.70% or 8.99 to trade at $1269.11 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.42% to 1.1609, while EUR/GBP fell 0.48% to 0.8884.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.26% at 94.87.
