Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Utilities, Consumer Services and Basic Materials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 rose 0.09%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V), which rose 3.33% or 0.215 points to trade at 6.680 at the close. Nordea Bank AB FDR (HE:NDA1V) added 1.88% or 0.210 points to end at 11.380 and Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB) was up 1.58% or 0.090 points to 5.790 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE), which lost 2.71% or 1.02 points to trade at 36.62 in late trade. Huhtamaki Oyj (HE:HUH1V) declined 1.42% or 0.49 points to end at 34.11 and Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:NRE1V) shed 0.96% or 0.36 points to 37.17.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 70 to 68 and 16 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for December delivery was down 0.81% or 0.47 to $57.45 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 0.40% or 0.21 to hit $52.09 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.80% or 10.47 to trade at $1291.23 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.20% to 1.1769, while EUR/GBP rose 0.19% to 0.8780.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.26% at 93.05.
