Investing.com – Denmark equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Healthcare, Chemicals and Consumer Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 added 1.33% to hit a new 6-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Novo Nordisk A/S B (CO:NOVOb), which rose 6.76% or 17.9 points to trade at 282.6 at the close. ISS A/S (CO:ISS) added 0.78% or 2.20 points to end at 285.70 and GN Store Nord (CO:GN) was up 0.28% or 0.5 points to 178.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Lundbeck A/S (CO:LUN), which lost 6.06% or 20.4 points to trade at 316.0 in late trade. Coloplast A/S (CO:COLOb) declined 5.12% or 30.0 points to end at 556.5 and AP Moeller - Maersk A/S B (CO:MAERSKb) shed 1.71% or 200 points to 11510.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 64 to 50 and 25 ended unchanged on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for June delivery was down 0.21% or 0.10 to $47.56 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 0.02% or 0.01 to hit $50.47 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.54% or 6.85 to trade at $1250.15 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was up 0.11% to 6.8120, while EUR/DKK rose 0.01% to 7.4370.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.16% at 98.94.
