Investing.com – Denmark equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Personal & Household Goods, Consumer Goods and Industrials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 rose 0.88%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were A.P. Moller - Maersk B (CO:MAERSKb), which rose 2.45% or 240 points to trade at 10020 at the close. Pandora A/S (CO:PNDORA) added 2.44% or 21.5 points to end at 903.0 and A.P. Moller - Maersk A (CO:MAERSKa) was up 2.41% or 225 points to 9580 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Jyske Bank A/S (CO:JYSK), which lost 1.98% or 6.6 points to trade at 326.6 in late trade. TDC A/S (CO:TDC) declined 0.58% or 0.22 points to end at 37.85 and Chr. Hansen Holding A/S (CO:CHRH) gained 0.21% or 0.8 points to 391.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 109 to 33 and 19 ended unchanged on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was up 3.00% or 1.51 to $51.80 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 2.46% or 1.27 to hit $52.95 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.59% or 7.45 to trade at $1270.35 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was up 0.16% to 6.7869, while EUR/DKK rose 0.01% to 7.4414.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.04% at 97.92.
