Investing.com – Denmark equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Technology and Financials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 gained 0.72%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Genmab (CO:GEN), which rose 4.98% or 52.0 points to trade at 1097.0 at the close. Jyske Bank A/S (CO:JYSK) added 3.97% or 10.0 points to end at 261.9 and Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CO:VWS) was up 3.62% or 15.3 points to 437.8 in late trade.
Biggest losers included William Demant Holding AS (CO:WDH), which lost 1.24% or 1.6 points to trade at 127.9 in late trade. Carlsberg A/S B (CO:CARLb) declined 0.66% or 4.0 points to end at 598.0 and ISS A/S (CO:ISS) shed 0.53% or 1.30 points to 246.30.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 109 to 40 and 11 ended unchanged on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was up 2.83% or 1.31 to $47.52 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 3.18% or 1.50 to hit $48.69 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 0.49% or 6.40 to trade at $1292.00 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was down 0.38% to 6.5986, while EUR/DKK fell 0.01% to 7.4353.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.40% at 94.39.
