Investing.com – Denmark equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Chemicals and Healthcare sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 added 0.55%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Genmab (COP:GEN), which rose 2.56% or 16.0 points to trade at 642.0 at the close. DSV (COP:DSV) added 1.90% or 4.8 points to end at 257.3 and Vestas Wind Systems (COP:VWS) was up 1.67% or 6.3 points to 382.6 in late trade.
Biggest losers included TDC A/S (COP:TDC), which lost 7.07% or 3.41 points to trade at 44.80 in late trade. Pandora A/S (COP:PNDORA) declined 0.70% or 5.5 points to end at 778.0 and Chr. Hansen Holding A/S (COP:CHRH) shed 0.60% or 2.2 points to 363.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 80 to 69 and 5 ended unchanged on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was up 1.87% or 0.82 to $44.69 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 2.72% or 1.34 to hit $50.58 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 1.08% or 11.80 to trade at $1105.90 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was down 0.31% to 6.7834, while EUR/DKK fell 0.00% to 7.4622.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.34% at 97.33.
