Investing.com – Denmark equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Chemicals, Healthcare and Real Estate sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 added 0.48%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Coloplast A/S (CO:COLOb), which rose 1.71% or 8.3 points to trade at 493.3 at the close. A.P. Moller - Maersk A (CO:MAERSKa) added 1.59% or 130 points to end at 8305 and A.P. Moller - Maersk B (CO:MAERSKb) was up 1.42% or 120 points to 8600 in late trade.
Biggest losers included GN Store Nord (CO:GN), which lost 1.96% or 2.7 points to trade at 134.9 in late trade. Nordea Bank AB (CO:NDA) declined 1.25% or 0.80 points to end at 63.15 and DSV (CO:DSV) shed 0.73% or 2.2 points to 298.0.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 80 to 69 and 16 ended unchanged on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was up 1.79% or 0.87 to $49.49 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 1.43% or 0.71 to hit $50.35 a barrel, while the August Gold contract rose 0.37% or 4.65 to trade at $1247.55 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was down 0.04% to 6.5434, while EUR/DKK fell 0.05% to 7.4374.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.02% at 93.92.
