Investing.com – Denmark equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Chemicals, Oil & Gas and Personal & Household Goods sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 gained 0.01% to hit a new 6-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were GN Store Nord (CO:GN), which rose 1.06% or 1.7 points to trade at 161.5 at the close. Pandora A/S (CO:PNDORA) added 0.75% or 5.5 points to end at 741.0 and Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CO:VWS) was up 0.70% or 4.0 points to 574.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Jyske Bank A/S (CO:JYSK), which lost 0.77% or 2.7 points to trade at 349.1 in late trade. Danske Bank A/S (CO:DANSKE) declined 0.76% or 1.8 points to end at 233.6 and Genmab (CO:GEN) shed 0.63% or 8.0 points to 1270.0.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 66 to 47 and 23 ended unchanged on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for May delivery was up 0.34% or 0.18 to $53.26 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in June rose 0.07% or 0.04 to hit $56.02 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 1.42% or 17.75 to trade at $1271.65 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was down 0.17% to 7.0066, while EUR/DKK rose 0.00% to 7.4367.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.32% at 100.62.
