Investing.com – Denmark equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Consumer Goods, Oil & Gas and Healthcare sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 gained 1.35%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were AP Moeller - Maersk A/S B (CSE:MAERSKb), which rose 3.25% or 360.00 points to trade at 11,430.00 at the close. AP Moeller - Maersk A/S A (CSE:MAERSKa) added 3.13% or 340.00 points to end at 11,200.00 and NKT Holding (CSE:NKT) was up 2.73% or 16.50 points to 620.50 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Jyske Bank A/S (CSE:JYSK), which lost 1.05% or 6.00 points to trade at 563.00 in late trade. Carlsberg A/S B (CSE:CARLb) declined 1.02% or 8.60 points to end at 833.40 and Danske Bank A/S (CSE:DANSKE) shed 0.71% or 1.50 points to 211.00.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 77 to 54 and 20 ended unchanged on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was up 3.44% or 2.57 to $77.30 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 3.00% or 2.34 to hit $80.41 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.63% or 15.55 to trade at $2,467.45 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was down 0.09% to 6.89, while EUR/DKK unchanged 0.01% to 7.46.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.41% at 103.89.
