Investing.com – Denmark equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Financials, Consumer Services and Oil & Gas sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 rose 0.26% to hit a new 3-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Danske Bank A/S (CO:DANSKE), which rose 1.89% or 4.5 points to trade at 242.5 at the close. Jyske Bank A/S (CO:JYSK) added 1.63% or 6.1 points to end at 381.4 and AP Moeller - Maersk A/S B (CO:MAERSKb) was up 0.83% or 100 points to 12200 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Pandora A/S (CO:PNDORA), which lost 2.22% or 19.0 points to trade at 837.0 in late trade. DSV (CO:DSV) declined 0.65% or 2.3 points to end at 350.0 and Lundbeck A/S (CO:LUN) shed 0.52% or 1.5 points to 288.7.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 69 to 43 and 24 ended unchanged on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for March delivery was down 0.13% or 0.07 to $53.13 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in April fell 0.20% or 0.11 to hit $55.86 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.59% or 7.25 to trade at $1232.65 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was down 0.17% to 7.0179, while EUR/DKK fell 0.02% to 7.4343.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.08% at 101.12.
