Investing.com – Denmark equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Chemicals, Industrials and Personal & Household Goods sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 gained 0.10% to hit a new 1-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were AP Moeller - Maersk A/S B (CO:MAERSKb), which rose 2.82% or 220 points to trade at 8028 at the close. AP Moeller - Maersk A/S A (CO:MAERSKa) added 2.14% or 160 points to end at 7640 and DSV (CO:DSV) was up 2.03% or 10.2 points to 513.2 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Lundbeck A/S (CO:LUN), which lost 1.43% or 6.4 points to trade at 442.2 in late trade. GN Store Nord (CO:GN) declined 1.23% or 3.6 points to end at 288.7 and Jyske Bank A/S (CO:JYSK) shed 0.80% or 2.8 points to 347.8.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 62 to 55 and 20 ended unchanged on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was up 0.88% or 0.62 to $70.95 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 1.25% or 0.93 to hit $75.38 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.36% or 4.50 to trade at $1242.10 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was down 0.01% to 6.3880, while EUR/DKK fell 0.03% to 7.4543.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.02% at 94.59.
