The coin, made of 999.9 fine gold, is available for purchase in a tenth, a quarter, half, or a full ounce.
Prices are slightly more than the value of gold which currently sits at £1,561 per ounce, data at gold.co.uk suggests.
The Royal Mint charge £1,668.56 for its one-ounce bullion, indicating potential value for collectors as the coin is the first with the current monarch’s effigy.
“Bullion coins are an attractive option for many investors looking to diversify their investment portfolio due to their value, tradability, and liquidity,” said Andrew Dickey at The Royal Mint.
