Investing.com – Italy equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Healthcare, Financials and Technology sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 added 1.43%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Unicredit (MI:CRDI), which rose 7.59% or 0.2120 points to trade at 3.0040 at the close. Azimut Holding (MI:AZMT) added 3.97% or 0.74 points to end at 19.38 and Yoox Net-A-Porter Group SpA (MI:YNAP) was up 3.71% or 0.87 points to 24.33 in late trade.
Biggest losers included FinecoBank Banca Fineco SpA (MI:FBK), which lost 2.68% or 0.17 points to trade at 6.36 in late trade. CNH Industrial NV (MI:CNHI) declined 0.74% or 0.045 points to end at 6.010 and UBI Banca (MI:UBI) shed 0.58% or 0.0200 points to 3.4540.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 247 to 152 and 24 ended unchanged on the Milan Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was down 0.16% or 0.08 to $48.59 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 0.06% or 0.03 to hit $48.78 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 0.29% or 3.60 to trade at $1251.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.07% to 1.1210, while EUR/GBP rose 0.77% to 0.7727.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.13% at 95.42.
