Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Auto & components, Software & Computer Services and Banking sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX gained 0.01% to hit a new 52-week high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS), which rose 10.25% or 2.36 points to trade at 26.25 at the close. REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC) added 2.60% or 0.03 points to end at 1.01 and Aker Solutions OL (OL:AKSOL) was up 1.65% or 0.61 points to 37.65 in late trade.
Biggest losers included DNO International ASA (OL:DNO), which lost 2.06% or 0.16 points to trade at 7.59 in late trade. Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC) declined 1.02% or 2.7 points to end at 263.1 and Schibsted ASA A (OL:SBSTA) shed 0.98% or 1.8 points to 182.8.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 108 to 59 and 31 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for January delivery was up 0.12% or 0.06 to $48.09 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 0.04% or 0.02 to hit $49.10 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 1.92% or 23.25 to trade at $1187.95 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.38% to 9.0868, while USD/NOK rose 1.06% to 8.6093.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.61% at 101.71.
