Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences, Commercial Service And Supplies and Auto & components sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX gained 0.61%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Bw Lpg (OL:BWLPG), which rose 3.20% or 0.85 points to trade at 27.40 at the close. Storebrand ASA (OL:STB) added 1.99% or 0.81 points to end at 41.56 and Schibsted ASA B (OL:SBSTB) was up 1.79% or 3.30 points to 187.60 in late trade.
Biggest losers included REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC), which lost 8.49% or 0.10 points to trade at 1.09 in late trade. Aker BP ASA (OL:AKERBP) declined 1.69% or 2.20 points to end at 127.80 and Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS) shed 1.60% or 0.35 points to 21.55.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 102 to 78 and 21 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for December delivery was down 1.76% or 0.80 to $44.54 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 1.47% or 0.69 to hit $46.17 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.58% or 7.55 to trade at $1300.65 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.08% to 9.0800, while USD/NOK fell 0.10% to 8.1806.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.16% at 97.23.
