Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Utilities, Healthcare and Consumer Services sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 declined 0.36%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA), which rose 2.87% or 0.130 points to trade at 4.654 at the close. Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB) added 0.79% or 0.050 points to end at 6.365 and KONE Oyj (HE:KNEBV) was up 0.36% or 0.15 points to 41.95 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Valmt (HE:VALMT), which lost 3.46% or 0.50 points to trade at 13.95 in late trade. Fortum Oyj (HE:FUM1V) declined 2.50% or 0.37 points to end at 14.41 and Kesko Oyj B (HE:KESBV) shed 1.93% or 0.93 points to 47.34.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 69 to 67 and 18 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for February delivery was up 1.87% or 1.01 to $55.03 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 1.57% or 0.80 to hit $51.70 a barrel, while the February Gold contract rose 0.80% or 9.05 to trade at $1138.85 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.43% to 1.0459, while EUR/GBP fell 0.21% to 0.8368.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.40% at 102.74.
