Airbus SE (OTC: EADSY) delivered 55 airplanes to 34 customers in August, with gross orders totaling 23 in the month.

The Leiden, Netherlands-based company's year-to-date deliveries totaled 488 airplanes to 78 customers.

Airbus registered 1,241 net orders in the first nine months of 2023 after 39 cancellations. Gross orders so far this year totaled 1,280.

Year to date, the largest orders were from India-based airlines Indigo and Air India.

September's deliveries were better than last month, when Airbus delivered 52 airplanes to 34 customers, with gross orders totaling 117.

Airbus has also undergone a significant leadership reshuffle within its Executive Committee, primarily focusing on strengthening its Commercial Aircraft business in these challenging industry times.

The airplane behemoth appointed Christian Scherer as the CEO of the Commercial Aircraft business.

Price Action: EADSY shares closed 0.7% lower at $32.67 on Monday.
