Investing.com – Poland equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Construction, Banking and Energy sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 fell 0.67% to hit a new all time low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the WIG30 were Grupa Azoty SA (WA:ATTP), which rose 2.32% or 1.93 points to trade at 85.00 at the close. KGHM Polska Miedz SA (WA:KGHM) added 2.08% or 1.59 points to end at 78.00 and Gornictwo Naftowe i Gazownictwo SA (WA:PGN) was up 1.25% or 0.08 points to 6.50 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Powszechny Zaklad Ubezpieczen SA (WA:PZU), which lost 7.03% or 29.77 points to trade at 393.40 in late trade. Jastrzebska Spotka Weglowa SA (WA:JSW) declined 4.95% or 0.63 points to end at 12.10 and OrangePL (WA:OPL) shed 1.51% or 0.11 points to 7.18.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 322 to 241 and 93 ended unchanged on the Warsaw Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was up 1.96% or 0.87 to $45.30 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 2.08% or 0.98 to hit $48.33 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.03% or 0.30 to trade at $1131.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was up 0.04% to 4.2448, while USD/PLN unchanged 0.00% to 3.7734.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.10% at 96.04.
