Investing.com – Norway equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Food, Beverages & Tobacco, Insurance and Capital Goods sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX declined 0.58%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Akastor ASA (OL:AKAS), which rose 3.21% or 0.2 points to trade at 8.1 at the close. Renewable Energy Corporation ASA (OL:REC) added 1.64% or 0.02 points to end at 1.06 and Fred. Olsen Energy ASA (OL:FOE) was up 1.42% or 0.4 points to 28.5 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Marine Harvest ASA (OL:MHG), which lost 5.87% or 7.40 points to trade at 118.60 in late trade. Subsea 7 SA (OL:SUBC) declined 5.65% or 3.2 points to end at 54.2 and Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS) shed 4.85% or 1.04 points to 20.42.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 100 to 72 and 14 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for April delivery was down 0.44% or 0.15 to $34.25 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in May fell 0.68% or 0.25 to hit $36.56 a barrel, while the April Gold contract rose 0.79% or 9.70 to trade at $1240.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.42% to 9.4409, while USD/NOK rose 0.64% to 8.7067.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.11% at 98.45.
