Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Technology, Oil & Gas and Basic Materials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 declined 0.92%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were YIT Oyj (HEL:YTY1V), which rose 3.46% or 0.23 points to trade at 6.73 at the close. Fortum Oyj (HEL:FUM1V) added 1.75% or 0.28 points to end at 16.29 and Amer Sports Corporation (HEL:AMEAS) was up 0.87% or 0.21 points to 24.35 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Outokumpu Oyj (HEL:OUT1V), which lost 3.74% or 0.1640 points to trade at 4.2160 in late trade. Nokia Oyj (HEL:NOK1V) declined 2.64% or 0.165 points to end at 6.085 and Stora Enso Oyj R (HEL:STERV) shed 2.41% or 0.225 points to 9.115.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 99 to 62 and 9 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for August delivery was up 0.75% or 0.47 to $62.48 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in August rose 0.86% or 0.49 to hit $57.45 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 0.46% or 5.40 to trade at $1163.90 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.35% to 1.1092, while EUR/GBP rose 0.38% to 0.7105.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.25% at 96.24.
