Investing.com – Israel equities were higher at the close on Sunday, as gains in the Insurance, Biomed and Oil & Gas sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 25 added 1.08%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 25 were Israel Corp (TA:ILCO), which rose 4.00% or 2900 points to trade at 75400 at the close. ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TA:ICL) added 3.64% or 62 points to end at 1767 and Avner L (TA:AVNRp) was up 3.06% or 6.9 points to 232.5 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Gazit Globe (TA:GZT), which lost 0.86% or 31 points to trade at 3579 in late trade. Teva (TA:TEVA) declined 0.46% or 120 points to end at 25720 and Perrigo (TA:PRGO) shed 0.02% or 10 points to 57590.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 214 to 125 and 116 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for February delivery was up 1.65% or 0.62 to $38.12 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 1.49% or 0.56 to hit $37.91 a barrel, while the February Gold contract rose 0.68% or 7.30 to trade at $1075.60 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.02% to 3.8849, while EUR/ILS rose 0.00% to 4.2609.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.37% at 98.02.
