Investing.com – Norway equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Auto & components, Hotels, Restaurants & Leisure and Technology Hardware & Equipment sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX fell 0.35%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OSLO:PGS), which rose 4.38% or 2.30 points to trade at 54.80 at the close. Telenor ASA (OSLO:TEL) added 2.32% or 4.0 points to end at 176.7 and Fred. Olsen Energy ASA (OSLO:FOE) was up 2.25% or 1.6 points to 70.5 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Renewable Energy Corporation ASA (OSLO:REC), which lost 13.48% or 0.30 points to trade at 1.95 in late trade. Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd (OSLO:RCLo) declined 4.11% or 21.0 points to end at 489.5 and Gjensidige Forsikring ASA (OSLO:GJFS) shed 3.72% or 4.9 points to 126.7.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 114 to 63 and 7 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for June delivery was up 0.91% or 0.55 to $60.95 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in June rose 0.76% or 0.52 to hit $68.03 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 0.26% or 3.10 to trade at $1190.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.61% to 8.4277, while USD/NOK fell 1.96% to 7.4311.
The US Dollar Index was down 1.11% at 94.22.
