Investing.com – Greece equities were lower at the close on Monday, as in the sectors propelled shares .

The biggest gainers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Select Textile (AT:EPIr), which rose 6.69% or 0.018 points to trade at 0.286 at the close. ThesKi Port (AT:OLTr) added 5.31% or 1.20 points to end at 23.80 and Piraeus Bank SA (AT:BOPr) was up 4.09% or 0.009 points to 0.229 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Intralot (AT:INLr), which lost 3.03% or 0.040 points to trade at 1.280 in late trade. Iktinos Hellas (AT:IKTr) declined 2.96% or 0.0400 points to end at 1.3100 and Viohalco SA (AT:VIOH) shed 2.61% or 0.080 points to 2.980.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 73 to 32 and 14 ended unchanged on the Athens Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for August delivery was up 0.22% or 2.63 to $1212.33 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in August rose 0.93% or 0.41 to hit $44.64 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract rose 0.96% or 0.45 to trade at $47.16 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.10% to 1.1388, while EUR/GBP rose 0.03% to 0.8847.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.11% at 95.89.
