Investing.com - Crude oil futures were higher in European trading hours on Friday.
On the New York Mercantile Exchange, Crude oil futures for November delivery traded at USD83.56 a barrel at time of writing rising 1.05%.
Earlier, it traded at a session high USD84.42 a barrel. Crude oil was likely to find support at USD79.78 and resistance at USD85.87.
US Dollar Index, which tracks the performance of the greenback versus a basket of six other major currencies, fell 0.11% to trade at USD84.94.
Elsewhere on the ICE, Brent oil for December delivery rose 0.79% to trade at USD86.50 a barrel, with the spread between the Brent oil and Crude oil contracts stood at USD2.94 a barrel.
