Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Technology, Consumer Goods and Financials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 fell 0.80%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which rose 5.84% or 0.2300 points to trade at 4.1680 at the close. Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV) added 0.85% or 0.30 points to end at 35.67 and Wartsila Oyj Abp (HE:WRT1V) was up 0.68% or 0.26 points to 38.27 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:NRE1V), which lost 2.82% or 0.94 points to trade at 32.41 in late trade. Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV) declined 2.17% or 0.80 points to end at 36.10 and Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA) shed 2.01% or 0.102 points to 4.978.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 88 to 84 and 18 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for September delivery was down 0.24% or 0.12 to $50.23 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in August fell 0.20% or 0.10 to hit $48.89 a barrel, while the August Gold contract rose 1.12% or 15.05 to trade at $1354.05 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.06% to 1.1145, while EUR/GBP fell 0.11% to 0.8385.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.10% at 95.62.
